These three beaches sit side by side on Bali's southwest coast, running north to south: Berawa, Canggu's polished edge; Batu Belig, the quiet seam; and Petitenget, Seminyak's beach. They share the same ocean and the same 6 PM sunset, but each has a different personality — and which suits you depends on the trip you're after.

Berawa — Canggu's stylish edge

The buzzy, fashionable end of Canggu: big beach clubs (Finns, Atlas), cafes, gyms and a young digital-nomad-and-surf crowd. Lively, walkable, plenty going on — but busy, and getting more built-up every year. Good if you want energy, scene and things within scooter reach.

Batu Belig — the quiet seam

The calm middle ground between Canggu's surf energy and Seminyak's polish — the same sunset, roughly half the crowd. A more residential, grown-up feel: good beach warungs, easier parking, and a short hop to both neighbours. Petitenget — Seminyak's beach

The smart Seminyak beach: upscale beach clubs, boutique hotels, a temple at the north end, and Seminyak's shopping and dining just behind. Polished and convenient — busier and pricier, but walkable to the best of Seminyak.

Want the scene and nightlife? Berawa — young, busy, beach clubs and cafes.
Want calm with everything close? Batu Belig — quieter, central, easy access both ways.
Want shopping, spa and polish? Petitenget — Seminyak's smart, walkable beach.
Surfing? All three have beach breaks; Berawa and Canggu have the biggest learner scene.

They're only minutes apart by scooter, so wherever you base yourself you can easily sample all three. Batu Belig in the middle makes the shortest hop to both.
